Mesmerized by the lustre of freshwater pearls, we created our Queen of Swords series. The heavy brass combined with dozens of pearls to become dozens of tiny bells, witch's bells, a powerful invocation for protection from evil spirits.
In Winter 2018, our work was featured in the jewelry magazine Belle Armoire. This experience helped shape my vision of luxury occult and unique talismans in Which Witch Handmade's current iteration.
The Queen of Swords series was a labor of love that arose from a dream years before it was realized, with each disc domed and polished by hand before adding pearls.
While I no longer work in this style, I am grateful for the lessons of trial and determination this piece offered at the bench.
